Dear Mr. Bageant,
Thanks for the article on the global elite ("Somewhere a Banker Smiles"). I just wanted to add the obvious -- that the global media corps will never, ever report on their incestuous relationships. G.E. is the largest media company and the largest defense contractor in the U.S. Murdoch's global neocon army seems to have a direct line to every major candidate and politician. These conglomerates control most of what people see as news and how they view events. Massive power.
I have to say, I was dismayed by your apparent dismissal of the 9/11 movement. I think it has much more evidential weight behind it and should not be coupled with other "conspiracy theories". In fact, that ploy is used constantly to discredit it. If we're ever going to wrench the public from their hypnotic state, I can't think of a better opportunity than that presented by the 9/11 truth movement. Imagine the sea-change if enough people started demanding answers and applied enough pressure to reopen the investigation.
Regardless of whether it was caused by gross negligence or complicity or direct involvement by the govt, it would be extremely healthy for the nation. It is really criminal to allow the 9-11 Commission Report to serve as the basis for the rapid and massive expansion of federal policing powers. The Commission's cursory treatment of 9/11 has been heavily criticized even by a few Commission members who were alotted a paltry $15 million for the investigation (over $45 million was spent investigating Clinton's blowjob).
The staging of terrorist and false flag attacks is encrusted in the globalist's agenda. It serves the international banks, energy industry, defense industry, and above all those who want to consolidate power. The Gulf of Tonkin, Lavon Affair, U.S.S. Liberty attack, and Operation Northwoods should be enough evidence to convince people that our government (and others) can and will stage false attacks to sway public opinion. They will kill their own citizens. Any journalist who doesn't understand this implicitly should take up another profession.
Thanks again for the insightful article.

Dear J. B.:
Regarding the 9/11 truth movement, I have a certain order in which I deal with things in my essays. Moreover, they constitute a progressive and escalating group of scenarios, each one upon acceptance leading to a larger order of magnitude. Believe me, I will deal with it directly when the time presents itself and an increasing number of facts can no longer be denied by the American public.
All I do is sew up the obvious in a small sack the reader can carry home. A very good newspaper editor (back in the days when real editors existed) told me: "Joe, the object of the game is to stay just one inch ahead of the public -- just one inch. Because if you go two inches they can no longer hear what you are saying. People can only accept what they are ready to accept, and you cannot change that."
In art and labor,
Joe
