Don't let that 'poor' Jew fool you

In the post "Avoid stereotype of Old World Jews", you wrote back to, probably a male, graduate, indeed well-heeled Jew. There basically are no poor Jews. I know this sounds stereotyped but wade around in their pool and do some research, read what's written for them by them, investigate what's provided for them by them, and you'll learn this is true. There are no poor Jews. They have special loan pools at 0%, tons of college help and scholarships, extensive networking, let's just say a Kosher last name opens MANY doors.

Well Alexandra, I see it like this:

Raised in a redneck culture, I have little affinity for Jewish culture. Anyone who snubs pulled pork barbecue can be said to be at the very least, incomprehensible, to my breed. And most of them find me pretty damned disgusting too, in what they perceive as my personal coarseness.

Generally speaking, I dislike upscale Jews and avoid them. And lord only knows when I swagger in using my nasty hill country vernacular they wanna disinfect the room. Sikhs and New England Wasps feel the same way about me. We all feel superior to one another. Moreover, my Scots-Irish background tempts me to to see them as weak and sneaky for their lack of bluntness. And they think, "Good god! Australopithecus survives!" The same could be said for a lot of other groups in this country. But on the whole, neither they nor I let our natural aversions over ride the common sense understanding that people are basically people. 

The only difference seems to be in the ways we punish one another. Rednecks go kick somebody's ass, Jews go sue somebody, Muslims issue a fatwah, and the Unitarians bore their enemies to death, even as the Mexicans execute their sinister gastro-intestinal jalapeno poisoning plot to destroy the stomach linings of every gringo over forty. Thanks to the hobo stew created by America's infamous melting pot, this country dishes up particularly unsavory forms of religion, law and highly spiced beef biproducts. In the overview, it is not the tolerance of diversity that makes one a real American, but rather the pure ability to survive it.

At the same time, each of us tends to identify with and look out for our own kind, kin and tribe, often achieving a large degree of dominance in one arena or another. Hell, look at the Patel clan from northern India who now own and operate 18,000 hotels and motels in the US.

BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THERE IS A WORLD JEWISH CONSPIRACY OR ANY OTHER KIND OF PURELY ETHNIC BASED CONSPIRACY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

America, despite its eminent demise, still remains a diverse little cesspool with many different strains of hominus rapacious swimming around in it, each jockeying for its own strain of power, each suspicious of the other.

The issue is indeed power, and powerful groups and governments have always conspired to control us all. from the day the first Assyrian threw the first Kassite into a headlock and said, "OK, mutherfucker, gimme that statue of Marduk and from now on out, you are my meat!" Right now powerful corporations, powerful Christian blocs who seem to believe Jesus rode dinosauers, powerful Muslims and even a powerful platoon of surly  hyenas in the White House, strive to control the world.

While I believe that Jews are a more powerful force in media and finance than they will ever admit, so what? White Anglo Calvinists have come to dominate the military, national security, intelligence and other aspects of our government, such as it is. I am far more afraid of the them than I am of anyone who would wear one of those teensy little black skullcaps or forelocks. On the other hand, I was raised among Anglo Calvinists and I know what the fuckers are capable of.

Those conspirators we should most fear go where the most force is sanctioned, not where the matsos are.
